The problem

The store carried thousands of SKUs, and the slow movers hid inside a healthy-looking average. Marking down by hand meant pulling an aging report, cross-referencing sales against stock and days on hand, and working through the catalog style by style, so in practice it happened rarely and only to the obvious offenders. Off-the-shelf inventory apps scored on age alone and had no idea what a markdown would do to margin.

The tool

  • Reads every Shopify variant with its stock, cost, 30-day sales, and age
  • Scores each one Fresh through Dead Stock on days of supply, sell-through, and age
  • Suggests a markdown price for what is aging out, floored at the margin you set
  • Filters a bucket, previews the new prices and anything that would fall below cost, then cuts the whole batch in one move
  • Protects fast sellers from markdown regardless of age, and soaks a variant just cut so it cannot be discounted twice in a week

About the data below: this demo is branded West Coast Deals because that's the store it was built for, but every figure in it is invented, a fixed sample catalog, not live or historical trading data. The logic is the real thing; the numbers are not.

The result

Same catalog, same team. The GMV lift is February against January, the first full month after this dashboard and the Demand-Based Repricer went live, so the two share the credit.

license

License Inventory Health Dashboard for $149 a month, with a $450 setup.

Every variant scored from Fresh to Dead Stock on your own catalog, with the markdown price for what is aging out.

  • A one-time setup fee where one is listed, then month to month with 30 days notice.
  • Setup covers connecting your accounts, loading your data, and the first two weeks. The monthly license starts when the tool is live.
  • A change to the logic is a custom build, quoted after the free consultation.
